Shiba Inu Puppies

Shiba Inus are native to Japan and are recently confirmed to be one of the oldest dog breeds in the world, going back as far as the third century B.C.. Shiba Inus are the smallest of all Japanese dogs but are still not considered the smallest dog world-wide. The usual weight for a purebred Shiba Inu is between seventeen and twenty three pounds, depending on the sex. They have a triangular appearance to their face between their nose and both triangular shaped ears. The coat of a purebred Shiba Inu dog is thick, double coat in an array of colours, usually excluding white (although commonly on Shiba Inus it is not recognized by most large kennel clubs). They are generally a healthy breed of dog that may live an average lifespan of twelve to fifteen years.

More ABOUT THE Shiba Inu

This particular breed of dog can be difficult to train because of their independent streak and active minds. They are smart dogs and are loyal and loving toward friends and families but they are not always friendly with other dogs. Shiba Inus require consistent training and socialization from an early age. They are able to enjoy many activities with their owners but should remain on leash in order to prevent their escape. Shiba Inu puppies, if properly trained, will develop into fun-loving and energetic companions. Canadian Breeders are present in Calgary, Alberta; Toronto, Ontario; Kitchener, Ontario and Vancouver, British Columbia.
